1Connect your BoardGameGeek collection
Type a BoardGameGeek username and press Load shelf. Finder pulls in the games marked as owned and leaves expansions out.
Any collection you load is remembered, so next time just pick it from the list. The × forgets it. Refresh brings in recent changes.
Swipe left to see the next step.
2Choose what you're in the mood for
Pick the number of players, how long you want to play and how heavy a game you're after. 2 Player means games made for exactly two.
Mechanics are tucked away under Show mechanics. Inside, tap once to include, twice to exclude, three times to clear. While they're hidden, the link says how many are selected.
3Generate 10 and look them over
Generate 10 picks ten games at random from everything that matches. Show the list to see them, or Reshuffle for a different ten.
Changing a filter clears the picks, so you never send a list that doesn't match.
4Pick who's voting and send it
In Send it to, tick who's playing. + Add someone saves a name and email for next time. Set how many are voting, you included, and voting closes itself once they're all done.
Start Voting emails each of them a voting link. On the next page, Copy Link to share it anywhere else.
5Vote
Everyone sees the same ten games, one card at a time. Swipe right for yes, left for no, down for maybe. Tap a card for its description.
Small icons under a game's details show a few of its mechanics, such as dice, worker placement or co-op. Tap the card to see what each one means.
As you drag, the card washes green, red or blue to show which way it will count. On a computer, use the buttons or the arrow keys. The organizer votes too, on their results page.
6See what wins
A yes is worth 2 points, a maybe 1. Any no drops a game below every game with none, which is why Catan is third despite the most yeses. Ties are settled at random.
Voting closes once everyone expected has finished, with End voting, or by itself after 7 days. The top 2 show first, then Next 3. Voters see the order once it closes.
7Check the stats
Stats in the top bar shows which games get the most yeses, maybes and nos, for the last week, month, year or all time, with a chart of votes over time.
Everyone counts every finished vote, with no names. Signed in, Just me shows only the votes you finished while signed in.
